Your new company
Join a major Federal Government department within the People, Property & Security Division. This team is leading nationally significant projects to rebuild and uplift the department's safety management system. You'll be part of a collaborative environment that values innovation, evidence-based decision-making, and strong stakeholder engagement.
Your new role
- Lead projects that enhance WHS capability and compliance across a diverse workforce
- Develop due diligence training and awareness packages
- Conduct research to support fatigue management initiatives aligned with Code of Practice
- Drive organisational WHS capability uplift for supervisors, managers, and workers
- Prepare high-quality briefs, papers, and guidance on WHS matters for senior leadership
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build strong working relationships
- Assist with procurement and management of specialist WHS services
What you'll need to succeed
- An interest in Work, Health & Safety with a Certificate IV in Work, Health & Safety ideally
- A sharp eye for research and analytics, with the ability to interpret safety data and provide recommendations
- Working knowledge of WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and adapt to changing priorities
- Established Federal Government/ Australian Public Service experience is highly regarded, with an active NV1 or Baseline Clearance
