Your new company

Hays are working with a Tasmanian organisation within the public sector in their search for a Work Health & Safety Advisor to join them on a permanent basis in January 2025.

Your new role

Located in Hobart CBD and reporting directly to the Principal Work Health and Safety, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the WHS unit plan, focusing on policies, budget, and organisational goals. Your expertise will help ensure that Work Health and Safety guidelines are strictly followed, reducing the risk of injury for both internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include investigating WHS incidents, collaborating with Risk Management, and working closely with the Return To Work Coordinator to promote safe working procedures.

You will be a collaborative team player with the ability to build strong working relationships across the organisation. A strong work ethic, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a personable nature are essential qualities for this position.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will receive a competitive salary package, excellent working conditions, and the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative team environment. Additionally, you will benefit from a 9-day fortnight, offering a great work-life balance in the public sector.

What you need to do now

If this role sounds like the correct fit for you, please send me a copy of your most up-to-date CV to Aaron.Wilton@hays.com.au.
