Work Health & Safety Project Manager

Your new company
Your new company is a government organisation based in the inner West of Sydney, looking for an experienced Work Health Safety professional to join their team for a new safety system implementation project which will last for 12 to 18 months with a view to extension. There may also be potential for a permanent role within the team.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for:

• Project manage the implementation of the WHS Management System including undertaking a gap audit, development of training materials and the promotion and facilitation of effective WH&S procedures, processes and policies


• In conjunction with the Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner provide specialist assistance, consultation and advice to managers and employees in relation to WH&S, safety related programs and policy and procedures


• Assist the Manager People & Culture operationally and strategically and ensure Council conforms to legislative and statutory requirements in regards to WH&S.


• Foster productive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will ideally:

• 
  
  Relevant tertiary qualifications in the areas of WH&S (Diploma/degree) and extensive industry experience.
  
  


• 
  
  Substantial experience in the implementation, review and analysis of WH&S Management systems and programs
