WHS Coordinator - Large food manufacturing firm - career development opportunity - South-West Brisbane
Your new company
Based in the Southwest suburbs of Brisbane, we have partnered with an iconic manufacturing company. The organisation has a commitment to quality and produces a wide range of well-known products. To support them with the implementation of their safety strategy, they are looking for a WHS Coordinator to join their safety team and work within their fast-paced operations.
Your new role
- Ensuring compliance with their safety system
- Supporting with internal, external and stakeholder audits ensuring the site maintains compliance
- Promoting safety culture and awareness
- Completing risk assessments for plant and machinery
- Assist to complete standard operating procedures
- Being a key user for all WHS systems, policies and processes
- Create and maintain safety training records, checks, toolbox talks and meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
For this role you will ideally hold a minimum of a Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety. You will have strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work under deadlines and on your own initiative and will enjoy working with a small and committed team. Previous experience as a WHS Coordinator and completing risk assessments, using WHS systems and supporting a safety team is required and experience within the manufacturing or related industries would be highly valued.
