We currently have 2 vacancies for Safety Professionals to support our clients within the civil construction industry. Both of these opportunities are for experienced Senior Safety, SHE, WHS, EHS Advisors.
Opportunity:
The Principal Advisor for Health and Safety is responsible for providing expert advice and leadership in fostering a culture of health and safety compliance across various engineering and maintenance delivery functions.
The role will be focused on ensuring the health and wellbeing of employees, contractors and those within worksites, working collaboratively with, and mentoring and educating the business on health and safety regulations, best practice and innovations, and working in alignment with the organisational safety management systems.
The Principal Advisor of Health and Safety will report to the Director of People and Director of SSC and will collaborate closely and on a regular basis with the Safety and Sustainability Manager, business partners and principal advisors within the broader enabling functions to drive a zero-harm workplace culture. The role will maintain a consistent presence within delivery functions, including attendance at and being actively involved in pre-starts, toolboxes, shutdowns, team meetings, committees and management meetings, and may be required to manage and mentor Health and Safety business partners and advisors within the business.
Candidates Expertise:
As the preferred candidate, you will have knowledge and understanding of relevant Work Health and Safety legislation, extensive experience in safety-critical and high-risk industries such as rail, mining, construction, or infrastructure, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to guide and influence teams.
Your analytical and problem-solving abilities enable you to identify risks and opportunities, providing effective solutions. You will have a proven track record of collaborating with stakeholders to implement user-friendly systems that meet legislative requirements and drive a "Zero Harm philosophy and proactive safety culture."
These positions are to commence immediately and are approximately 3-6 months worth of work, paying the daily rate of $700 - $850 per day pending expertise. (Average 8 hours per day).
