Your new role


In this temporary assignment, your responsibilities will include:


  • Promoting safety and ensuring that safety protocols are understood and followed.

  • Train and educate employees about safety practices, procedures, and regulations.

  • Ensure safety standards are being met and followed within the organisation.

  • Develop and implement safety programs and initiatives.

  • Offer guidance and support to employees regarding safety concerns and issues.

  • Composing and presenting reports and correspondence.

  • Incident investigations involving internal and external parties.


What you'll need to succeed


To excel in this role, you should have:


  • Minimum C Class provisional license, and legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.

  • Qualifications in Work Health & Safety or related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience working in a complex high risk workplace implementing safety processes and initiatives which have improved safety performance.

  • Demonstrated skills in dealing confidently, courteously, tactfully, and diplomatically to all levels within the organisation, along with high-level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills,

  • Demonstrated experience in incident investigations (e.g. ICAM, 5 Why's) involving internal and external parties.

  • Proven ability to build an effective and proactive safety culture, ensuring high satisfaction and quality partnerships.

  • Ability to compose and present reports and correspondence.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying legislation, awards, Industrial instruments, and workplace policies.

  • Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and corporate business systems.
