Your new role
In this temporary assignment, your responsibilities will include:
- Promoting safety and ensuring that safety protocols are understood and followed.
- Train and educate employees about safety practices, procedures, and regulations.
- Ensure safety standards are being met and followed within the organisation.
- Develop and implement safety programs and initiatives.
- Offer guidance and support to employees regarding safety concerns and issues.
- Composing and presenting reports and correspondence.
- Incident investigations involving internal and external parties.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Minimum C Class provisional license, and legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
- Qualifications in Work Health & Safety or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working in a complex high risk workplace implementing safety processes and initiatives which have improved safety performance.
- Demonstrated skills in dealing confidently, courteously, tactfully, and diplomatically to all levels within the organisation, along with high-level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills,
- Demonstrated experience in incident investigations (e.g. ICAM, 5 Why's) involving internal and external parties.
- Proven ability to build an effective and proactive safety culture, ensuring high satisfaction and quality partnerships.
- Ability to compose and present reports and correspondence.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying legislation, awards, Industrial instruments, and workplace policies.
- Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and corporate business systems.
