Evoenergy is looking for a proactive and experienced Safety Business Partner (Investigations) to join our Safety Operations team. About the Role

As the Safety Business Partner (Investigations), you’ll bring your expertise to lead incident investigations, support safety initiatives, and coach teams across the business.

We’re seeking individuals with strong investigative capabilities—particularly in ICAM, humble inquiry, and human and organisational performance (HOP)—to help drive a culture of safety and accountability, while ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.


A day in the life



  • Lead WHS projects, audits, inspections, and coaching visits

  • Conduct and support incident investigations with root cause analysis

  • Develop and deliver health and safety training and procedures

  • Monitor and manage incident reporting via our incident reporting system

  • Track and ensure timely completion of corrective actions

  • Provide expert advice and support across Evoenergy teams

  • Facilitate workshops and contribute to wellness and return-to-work activities


What You’ll Bring


Essential:



  • Investigation qualifications and/or extensive experience in the conduct of investigations for Health and Safety incidents or other relevant incident types to provide factual reporting that also identifies root cause (experience with the Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM), humble inquiry, and human and organisational performance (HOP) is highly regarded.)

  • Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in a similar position

  • Completed or willing to undertake a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety


Desirable experience and qualifications



  • Delivering WHS risk workshops and training

  • Applying risk management principles

  • Writing and implementing safety procedures

  • Conducting audits and hazard inspections

  • Diploma in Work Health and Safety

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

  • Electrical Trade Qualifications (Authorised Worker under Evoenergy ESR)

  • Project management experience or qualification

  • Experience in the utilities or energy sector
