Botany Location with Working from Home Flexibility | $100-130k + super + bonus

Your new company
A global warehousing company is looking for a Safety Compliance Manager on a permanent basis. This role will be based in Botany and will offer working from home flexibility.

Your new role
Reporting to the SHECQ & Sustainability Manager you will provide assurance in relation to Compliance with local SHE legislations and regulatory obligations. You will ensure SHE compliance and regulatory engagement and obligations activities are delivered in an accurate and timely manner.

Key responsibilities:



  • Promote a positive SHE culture and harm prevention;

  • Understand and support the THA requirements

  • Comply with applicable policies, procedures and local legislation and regulations

  • Improve the sustainability of the organisation by reducing energy usage and waste production

  • Ensure all activities continue to conform to the appropriate SHE legislation and licensing

  • Initiate internal discussions and propose remedial actions with relation to any gaps or and non-compliance issues

  • Identify, prepare and assist the SHECQ & Sustainability manager with the submission of regulatory obligations, licensing and development approval conditions

  • Maintain and update compliance register

  • Conduct and or participate in internal reviews or audits

  • Maintain documentation of compliance, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes

  • Lead the development or implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures

  • Direct environmental programmes, such as air or water compliance, spill prevention or control, hazardous waste or materials management


What you'll need to succeed



  • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience within a Safety/Compliance Department

  • Experience in major hazard facility environment

  • Comprehensive knowledge and application of SHE regulatory compliance area

  • Experience in the chemical and fuel industry would be beneficial
