Injury Management Advisor | Immediate start | $50 - $60 p/h + super | 6 & 10 months contract | Surry Hills

Your new company
NSW Government based in Surry Hills is looking for 2 Injury Management Advisor for 6- & 10-months contract. The Injury Management Advisor will co-ordinates, influences and drives return to work and injury management activities on the rehabilitation cases.

Your new role

• Contact all workers within 24 hrs of notification of a work-related injury.


• Maintain integrity, security and confidentiality of the injury management files.


• Attend Injury Management Panels with commands/business units and case reviews with the nominated Insurer and provide injury management advice.


• Conduct case management processes as per SIRA Guidelines, internal policies and implement early intervention strategies.


• Interpret legislation, awards and conditions of employment, providing appropriate advice in relation to injury management files.


• Deliver training/education programs to workers about injury management policies and procedures to improve understanding and engagement.


• Maintain accurate work capacity and file status records on organisational electronic systems in line withlegislation and policy and to build reporting and analysis data capacity on injury management.


• Organise and process injury management activities within required timeframes to ensure service delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

• Obtain and maintain the requisite security clearances for this position.


• Relevant tertiary qualifications (allied health) and/or demonstrated industry experience in the coordination of rehabilitation services.


• Return to Work Coordinator accreditation in accordance with SIRA requirements or willingness to obtain.


• Demonstrated working knowledge of the Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1998 and sound understanding of rehabilitation case management principles.


• Current NSW Drivers Licence with clear driving record (at least 6 months)
