We have a fantastic opportunity in BGIS corporate HSEQ team. The HSEQ Audit and Performance Reporting Lead interacts with key stakeholders across our diverse Australian and NZ business areas to provide assurance the BGIS Integrated HSEQ Management System is compliant, implemented and continually improved.
This role is part of a supportive, collaborative, high functioning HSEQ team who are passionate about HSEQ.
Role
BGIS has a strong Integrated HSEQ Management System and holds certification for Safety, Environment and Quality International Standards.
The HSEQ Audit and Performance Reporting Lead ensures APAC business areas and accounts are meeting the Management Systems and certification requirements by managing the HSEQ internal and external audits.
The role also manages the APAC HSEQ performance reporting, enabling the business to monitor and track APAC progress against HSEQ targets and objectives.
This is an ongoing full time role. Hybrid / flexible working options are available. The role is based in Sydney. The role involves travel, visiting our business areas and accounts during audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing independent and objective assurance to executive management regarding APAC’s compliance with the Integrated HSEQ Management System.
- Leading the BGIS re-certification processes for ISO Safety, Environment and Quality (45001,14001,9001)
- Managing HSEQ data analysis and reporting processes and prepare APAC HSEQ performance reports.
- Conducting holistic Business Continuity Plan (BCP) testing and provide an independent and objective evaluation to executive management, enabling the improvement of the robustness of the Plan.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Environmental Management or a related discipline (at a minimum, Diploma in WHS Management).
- Qualified Auditor in WHS, Environmental or Quality Management Systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk management and WHS processes, terminology, legislation and international standards
- Proven experience conducting audits
- Proven experience preparing high quality written reports, including attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience building strong professional relationships that engage stakeholders at all levels, and build trust and positivity in the audit function
- Proven ability to work with complex and overlapping management systems (such as. safety, environment, quality, International Standards, Australia Standards and other compliance obligations across multiple business streams such as facilities management, project management)
- Proficiency in Excel (intermediate excel user or ability to upskill quickly to this), Work, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational skills
