Your new company
We are seeking applications for an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Manager to join a globally recognised Engineering firm. Working within a fast paced high performing team environment based in Melbourne's South East suburbs. As the HSE Manager you will be working for a leading organisation, where you will also be tasked with supporting and implementing HSE best practices at the organisations sites in Melbourne and across Victoria.
Your new role
Working within a fast paced high performing team environment as the Health, Safety & Environment Manager, you will have a hands-on proactive mindset. It's important to note that this organisation requires a leader first and foremost, as such they're looking for someone who can build strong relationships across all the relevant staff in the organisation to build best practice around their approach to OHS. Similarly, they are looking for an individual who can take a hands-on approach with staff on all level to get their Safety practices where they want them to be. This organisation has well established practices and procedures that they are looking for you to enhance. However, with an ever changing environment this organisation are looking for an individual who can adapt to change quickly and has the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities. As HSE Manager you will implement and action all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures and work closely with senior management to deliver the organisations strategic objectives at a local level.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you have proven HSE/ OHS Management experience, in which you can demonstrate your ability to work within a fast paced and changeable environment. Experience within a heavy engineering and/or manufacturing environment are also highly required. The following experience is also desirable:
- Experience working in HSE/ OHS Management position
- Demonstrable experience working in fast paced environments in which you have managed multiple conflicting priorities
- Demonstrable conflict management and resolution experience
- Occupational, Health, Safety & Environmental Management.
- Formal training in HSE Management Systems
- Ability to implement change and lead safety initiatives
- Strong communicator and ability to build relationships with a range of staff (from all levels)
- Hands on attitude and flexible to working arrangements
