Currently they are looking for an experienced and motivated Emergency Management Specialist to join their team in a state-wide role based in Launceston.
Your new role
Reporting to the General Manager of Risk & Resilience, this key role will see you lead and drive the ongoing implementation of the Tasports Crisis and Emergency Management Framework (CEMF) Liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders as a lead representative of the Risk & Resilience department, this diverse and challenging role will see you lead the planning and delivery of emergency management systems and activities across Tasport's state-wide operations.
Managing the day to day activities, equipment, technologies, framework documentation plus the training and exercise program, you utilise your experience to identify and implement continuous improvement strategies and provide relevant training programs right across the organisation. Working closely with key external stakeholders including Police, Fire, Defence, Harbour Masters and Infrastructure groups, you will represent Tasports with an exceptionally high level of expertise, professionalism and dedication.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal application will hold a tertiary qualification in Emergency Management and have significant experience in a similar position within a fast paced and high-risk environment. With a strong understanding of emergency management principles plus the ability to develop and deliver all hazard emergency training and exercises, you will be an excellent communicator who can quickly build positive relationships with multiple stakeholders. Resilient, positive and with the ability to work autonomously, you will be a natural leader and problem solver who can identify and deliver successful improvement strategies and programs. Experience within the maritime or aviation industry will be highly regarded.
