Your new company
This global organisation in the energy sector has a strong track record in maintaining and upgrading complex power equipment. They are looking for an EHS Advisor to join them on their site in the Ipswich region on a short-term contract.
Your new role
Your role will involve attending pre-start, carrying out any safety chats, advising on any safety concerns, checking permits, undertaking risk assessments, and being an active presence across the site, doing some training and inductions as required. You will undertake any investigations that occur, fill in daily reports and update the safety systems, ensuring all documentation is in place for any inspections.
What you'll need to succeed
The key criteria for success in this role is a demonstrated ability to communicate well, and a willingness to talk, interact and educate the workforce. You will have a background in HSE, have experience in using safety systems, strong documentation skills and ideally will have worked in oil, gas, mining or energy previously.
What you'll get in return
This is initially a 6 week or so contract, based in South West Brisbane (Ipswich region), but the organisation will likely have ongoing opportunity to take on further contract work and support across outages. Can pay competitive market rates based on your experience and capabilities.
