As the Workers Compensation Claims Manager, you will be responsible for designing and implementing early intervention strategies, as well as being hands-on in the management of all claims activity. Being a strong communicator, you will also provide support and advice to line managers in relation to sustainable and effective return to work outcomes.

In supporting the Injury and Insurance Manager, you will work both proactively and reactively with the business to provide policy development, reporting, data analytics and research into proactive preventative measures to reduce injuries and workers compensation claims. In addition, you will act as a coach to managers across the organisation to deliver workers compensation training.

Other key components of the role include:


  • Be effective in managing multiple claims within a high volume, busy and complex environment
  • Have a strong understanding of workers compensation legislation and its application
  • Provide timely follow up to the business in regards to current and outstanding claims
  • Manage adhoc Workers Compensation and Insurance projects as required
  • Review and carry out incident investigations, developing future recommendations to reduce risk

You will be passionate about making a difference and understand that good workers compensation and return to work practices can have a significant impact on the business, knowing what good looks like and provide specialist advice to Managers within a fast paced environment.
