About Them
This large and diverse organisation with a varied risk portfolio are seeking to engage a HSE Advisor who has the ability to drive effective outcomes through coaching and influencing others.
 
About the Role
Reporting to a Safety Manager you will support and partner with the relevant managers, employees and contractors in the execution of the safety management system.
This role will assist in the identification and management of work health and safety risks for employees and contractors as part of this organisations journey towards improved safety performance.
This role will be expected to work across some work locations within Sydney.
  
Specifically Key Accountabilities include:
  • Drive safety outcomes by influencing and supporting managers, leadership teams, employees and contractors in the application of safety risk management practices, processes and tools in the workplace.
  • Work with frontline manager through coaching and mentoring to enhance personal accountability for safety.
  • Provide advice to and consult with employees, managers and leadership teams on operational safety issues that delivers enhanced safety outcome for all.
  • Assist with continuous improvement activities, identifying opportunities and proposing solutions to enhance overall HSE performance.
About You
To be successful you will need:
  • A relevant certification or tertiary qualification in HSE or significant relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of HSE legislation, codes of practice and standards.
  • Interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation including presenting information to large groups and facilitate training as required and producing appropriate written communication
  • The ability to engage at all levels
