In support of  ongoing improvements and initiatives being driven across the organisation, an experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager is required to partner with the organisation to build more awareness around WHS, wellbeing and injury management strategies.  

About the Role

Whilst the role reports directly to the Chief People Officer, you will be working directly with the organisation in supporting them to continually improve safety performance, ensure the successful continuation of the injury management program and implement wellbeing programs.

About Success

Critical success factors and responsibilities include:
  • Proactively contributing to building a proactive safety culture and awareness
  • Provide high level consulting to all staff members including the senior leadership team
  • Lead the injury management and return to work function for the business
  • Actively prepare all safety related reporting requirements, up to board level
  • Risk Management and assessments, incident analysis, corrective action management
  • Manage the safety training needs analysis, developing training and education plans
  • Develop, coordinate, manage and maintain the Wellbeing programs to ensure their success within the organisation
  • Management and leadership of the existing team
  About You
  • Strong experience in an HS & Wellbeing role, preferably within a white-collar environment or similar
  • The ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation
  • The ability to lead behavioural change throughout a diverse organisation
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Degree or Diploma in Safety or similar, and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
